Forward a call

The operator wants to forward an ongoing phone call to another destination.

Context

Especially in en-route centers forwarding calls is common, whereas in signalling centers they are rarely used.

Forces

The standard PABX forward procedure is hard to recall, especially for infrequent users.

Solution

The proposed forward procedure allows the operator to select participants from whichever source, for instance, the speed dials, the phone book, and others. Once the operator selects a destination and presses the function key again the procedure is complete.

Forwarding a call can be completed more quickly, which is of use especially in a dense situation. The intuitive procedure makes conferencing easy to recall.
